UPDATE 12.08.20:

As Auckland remains in Level 3, our Auckland stores will remain closed, however we will have 1 staff member in each store to help with emails, calls and contactless click and collect orders.

Please remember our online store is always open 24/7 and we continue to safely dispatch online orders with contactless precautions in place.

Our stores continue to be regularly & thoroughly cleaned and we will be following social distancing, contact tracing and cleaning standards as per Level 2 and 3 requirements.

We are also happy to organise contactless Click and Collect at an organised time from our store during level 3.

How to use Click and Collect:

1. Add your favourite garments to your cart on www.theshelter.co.nz

2. On the checkout page under shipping select Click and Collect.

3. Select place your order with us.

4. When your order is ready to collect we will get in touch with you via email.

Experience a one on one session with one of our talented stylists outside of our general opening hours. With the store to yourself, feel relaxed in our beautiful Shelter space at shop at your own pace. Contact us here to book your appointment.

BY APPOINTMENT VIRTUAL STYLING:

Although are store remains closed our experienced team here at The Shelter are here to help. From the 28th of April we will be offering free virtual styling with our experienced and talented manager Bharti and her team. From a wardrobe update to more information around fit and form we want to make it easier for you to find a piece to love.

UPDATE 06.04.20

The Shelter online store is still open and we are still accepting orders! We appreciate that MBIE have lifted some restrictions around sending essential items within New Zealand. After careful consideration we have selected some essential pieces that we can facilitate getting to you in a safe, effective and timely manner if you need. However, if you don’t need it now or it is not an essential piece, we will keep your order safe and secure, delivering to to you as soon the level 4 lockdown is lifted.

We want to respect our government and our hard-working couriers to keep the majority of our roads clear for the transport of necessities. Our selected pieces that can be shipped if need be can be found here. If you have any questions about what can or cannot be delivered right now please email online@theshelter.co.nz.

As this unprecedented situation unfolds, our policies are updating as changes happen. Unfortunately we are unable to dispatch online orders throughout New Zealand and internationally. However don’t forget, you can shop online from anywhere to secure your favourite taylor outfits, and we will deliver all orders as soon as the national lockdown is lifted.

To our loyal Shelter customers, friends and family

Today we are all waking up to a new reality, these crazy unprecedented times have led to major changes for us all. Right now as a small New Zealand owned business, the wellbeing of our team, community and country is at the forefront of what is important to us. To protect our local makers and team, we ask everyone to please respect the Government enforced rules so we can all protect each other.

Our physical store has now closed its doors and will remain closed until the next update from our Government. We want to remind you our online store is open 24/7 through this time and will continue to provide quality goods to you (especially when the winter chills arrive and all you want is to snuggle into a new piece of warm knitwear!).

Currently there are no delays with our deliveries however due to the complexity of this situation this could change. As long as our wonderful couriers remain working we shall get your purchases to you.

We appreciate that online shopping is much harder than seeing something physically, touching it and trying it on so if you have any queries or questions our fabulous online stylist Courtney will be here to help.

All of your favourite Shelter in store stylists are also still available to talk to in this time so utilise their styling knowledge! Just send an email to the store with any styling or garment questions you may have.

During this time it will be important we look forward, stay positive and dream. We will continue to keep inspiring you via all our social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram @theshelternz and make sure you’re signed up to our email database for weekly in-depth styling, inspiration, stories on our makers and designers.

Our hope is that as our world slows we become more aware of how connected we are, and appreciate the impact we can have on people and world around us. We sincerely thank you for your support and we ask you to please continue supporting local.

As a small New Zealand owned business, the health and safety of our team and community is at the forefront of what is important to us. During this uncertain time we have taken strong measures to ensure our space is a safe haven for our customers. We will continue to follow recommendations from the World Health Organisation and New Zealand Government.

Our Shelter employees are deep cleaning the store twice daily; by disinfecting door handles, counters and changing room areas thoroughly. Hand sanitiser is also available in store for customer use so please help yourself.

In this time where we are all being highly vigilant and cautious with interactions you may find comfort in getting in touch with your favourite Shelter stylist virtually! Feel free to call our lovely girls or send us an email - we are always happy to work with you even if you’re not in store! With this in mind we are also offering free shipping on all New Zealand orders.
