ART WEEK Installation by Holly Schroder

This week (6-14 October) we celebrate Art Week around Ponsonby and Auckland City. We're lucky enough to be hosting an installation by the talented Holly Schroder for this limited time only.
Growing up in Hokitika, on the west coast of the South Island, Holly's father had a glass blowing studio which immersed her in art from a young age. Being exposed to different mediums helped her now think in a dynamic way as to how she can make and display art.
Her work attempts to blur the boundaries between known representations and chance representations, allowing multiple possibilities of what something could be. For things to hide and things to emerge over time.
We have two of her large scale works available at The Shelter until Sunday 14 October, so make sure you get in store to view these up close while you can.
