Introducing | Uma Wang

Before launching her eponymous label in 2009, Uma Wang studied at the China Textile University and Central Saint Martins. Fusing technical skills with a conceptual approach, acquired from both institutes, Uma Wang has become a leader in the Chinese fashion industry, as well as the only Chinese designer to show in Milan fashion week's official schedule. Known for her ability to beautifully mix and match fabrics and textures with subtle detailing, Uma Wang has earned her own dedicated following all over the world. Her new collection, now available at The Shelter, is simple in palette, yet adventurous within her textile processes and patterning techniques.
