Work hard, play hard in a collaboration between Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas, a design partnership creating an intersection of luxury and athletic designs. Each Y-3 collection continues to refine the Japanese designer’s affinity for avant-garde styles, bringing a new edge to his core athletic tech-wear.
This Y-3 collection gives the wearer agency to adjust the fit of garments through flaps, snaps and zips and gives new meaning to the saying ‘You wear the logo, the logo doesn’t wear you.’ Yamamoto plays with shape and volume throughout, which adds simple, yet artfully crafted character to each piece.

Y-3 is now available online and in-store in both Ponsonby and Dunedin.
About Y-3
Launched in 2003, Y-3 is a collaboration between Paris-based Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto and German sportswear brands Adidas. Blending Yamamoto’s idiosyncratic approach to fabric, layering and a poetic wearing of clothes mixed with Adidas’ dynamism and technologically progressive approach to apparel.
Y-3 produces a range of street and sport-inspired clothing and footwear in a muted, often monochromatic palette highlighting the textures of materials and the experimental approach to the line.
