Rick Owen’s street wear label DRKSHDW has dropped a new collection at The Shelter. Named as the godfather of dark fashion, the prescience of black is noted, taking form in new iterations in the new collection ‘Strobe’.

Drawing inspiration from the Rick Owens eerie STROBE mainline runway, playing with triangular shapes and classic DRKSHDW styles.

Mix and match accessories around a timeless black canvas. Pair classic Rick Owens draped silhouettes with the Toga Tunic and Pillar Skirt - the perfect layering pieces for Spring/Summer, giving the outfit a slight feminine edge. Accessorise with this season’s Hexa Sneakers to bring in Owens’ staple sporty-goth styling. Bring in colour with the DRKSHDW Phone Holder in orange and oyster, to make a subtle statement.

Statement boots are an essential in The Shelter wardrobe. We pair the Abstract Stocking Boot with paired back pieces to let the boots shine. This season Owens’ abstract face drawing makes an appearance throughout, a great variation to the classic black t-shirt, with the LS Hard Top, styled with the Faun Shorts. We’re accessorising with the Kuboraum Maske5 Sunglasses - a summer must have.

We’re fans of Owens’ use of the Milk colourway. The Hexa Sneaker play on Rick’s Egyptian inspirations and use of triangular shapes throughout the DRKSHDW Strobe Collection. These will no doubt pair well with your existing Shelter pieces. Switching out our winter wardrobe, we’re opting for the Toothface Kilt, sporting the abstract face drawing, instantly creating interest on the bottom. To allow the Kilt to have its moment, the Phleg T-Shirt is a no-brainer. This weekend look wouldn’t be complete without the DRKSHDW Backpack.
